Adaptive Sailing

Freedom Waters Foundation is partnered with Collier County Parks and Recreation to provide adaptive sailing; teaching people with disabilities how to sail independently for those who can and providing sailing experiences to others who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the therapeutic effects of being on the water and feeling the wondrous sense of Freedom.

Freedom Waters Foundation has also been instrumental in guiding other adaptive sailing programs around the country in getting started and building successful programs in their individual areas.

These adaptive sailing programs allow those with disabilities to be on an equal playing field with their friends and families, allowing families to recreate together in a very special way.

Our goal is to assist in development of these adaptive sailing programs throughout the country.
