Heads of State, emperors, kings, presidents and countless celebrities owned Pierce Arrows.

Terry “Machine Gun” Druggan, a Chicago mobster and bootlegger, is claimed to be the second owner of this Model 42, purchasing the car in 1933. He could often be seen riding the streets of Chicago in the rumble seat recruiting drivers for his illicit beer delivery trucks.

The car was later discovered in the early 1950s in a barn outside of the Village of Long Grove, Illinois some forty miles outside of Chicago where he had hidden the car from the feds prior to his arrest. Druggan had occupied a residence in the village along with his mother, Elizabeth.

Reputedly one of the most beautiful Pierce Arrows ever built, this Model 42 changed hands several times before Robert Morris purchased the car in 2016 from Wayne Carini in an auction that was featured on Chasing Classic Cars, in Season 8.

A former owner, Robert Kull, had restored the car in the 1990s and displayed it in both regional and national events, winning Best in Show twenty-four times over the course of his ownership.

In November of 2018, the current owner decided to undertake a full restoration of the Pierce Arrow and bring it back to its original glory. To ensure historical accuracy, the first few months were spent researching the car before the actual restoration began. The project was completed March of 2023 with meticulous attention to detail and originality.

In 2025, the Pierce Arrow was invited to the Amelia Concourse d ’Elegance and placed 2nd in Pre War American built classic cars. The car is also scheduled to appear at Pebble Beach Concourse d’ Elegance in Monterey, California in August this year.

The distinguished two tone red over burgundy coachwork is the original color to the Pierce Arrow. It is equipped with the largest Pierce Arrow engine of its time. Powered by the mighty nine-bearing 5,997 cc straight-eight engine that marked the company’s departure from its six-cylinder tradition. The gross vehicle weight is just under 6,000 pounds. Its chromed hood louvers and rare, ultra-desirable stainless steel Budd wheels exude class and style.

It now also boasts a complete set of authentic Pierce Arrow-stamped tools and car jack. In the golf club compartment is a rare full set of 1931 golf clubs in a period-correct leather bag. To the best of the owner’s knowledge, they know of only one other Model 42 still in existence today.
