Women's Fishing Seminar On Pine Island

The Women’s Fishing Seminar on Saturday, March 7th from 9 AM to noon, brought together close to 40 women at the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant on Pine Island for a morning of education and community. Attendees learned fishing tips and techniques from Captain Deb Deyo of Bluewater Girl Charters from Key Largo, and Captain Debbie Hanson with the Freedom Waters Foundation, to help them gain new skills and confidence on the water.

Thank you Chuck and Pat Downes for helping to make this event possible, to Freedom Waters Foundation volunteers Debbie Wilamowski and Suzanne Fruendt for sharing our mission during the event, and to everyone who attended. Proceeds from the event raffle drawings were donated to support our programs.
