Debbie Hanson

Originally from West Chicago, Illinois, Debbie Hanson holds a BA in English/Journalism from Western Illinois University and has over two decades of career experience in outdoor media, marketing, and business development roles. Her contagious enthusiasm for introducing newcomers to fishing and boating led her to a volunteer position with the Freedom Waters Foundation’s Heels & Reels Girls Fishing Program in 2012 — an experience that left an indelible impression.

Her love and passion for the water has been highlighted on nationally televised shows such as Lunkerville, George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing, and A Fishing Story with Ronnie Green. She was also the live, on-air host of Reel Talk Radio on ESPN SWFL for close to four years, which sharpened her communication and public speaking
skills.

Debbie looks forward to uniting, educating, and serving the community while being a part of the Freedom Waters Foundation family.
