Frank Corvino

Frank A. Corvino is president of Corvino & Corvino, a Naples, FL based management consulting company specializing in all aspects of leadership and strategic consulting as well as personal coaching. Corvino founded this company in 2015, following 23 years as the president and chief executive officer of Greenwich Hospital. He joined the Hospital in 1988 as senior vice president and chief operating officer and was promoted to president in 1991. When Greenwich Hospital became affiliated with Yale New Haven Health System in 1997, Mr. Corvino became Executive Vice President of Yale New Haven Health System. During his leadership, the Hospital experienced unprecedented growth, including the opening of two major buildings that completely replaced the main Greenwich Hospital campus. In addition, Corvino has been at the forefront of healthcare innovation in such areas as patient safety, wellness programs, care for the aging and the “green” movement.
 
A staunch patient advocate, Corvino instituted a culture of service excellence at Greenwich that garnered the Hospital five consecutive Press Ganey Summit Awards, the nation’s leader in healthcare satisfaction measurement. Moreover, his ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, trustees, advocacy groups, hospital staff and others has been instrumental in establishing Greenwich Hospital’s reputation as the premier regional healthcare facility.
 
Before coming to Greenwich Hospital, Corvino was an executive vice president at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in Bronx, NY, where he also held other management positions. He received his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy at Fordham University and completed his graduate training at St. John’s University.
 
An author and lecturer, Corvino has addressed healthcare issues, including healthcare reform and hospital safety, in print and on broadcast media. He is the recipient of numerous local and national awards, including the Ellis Island Medal of Honor from the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations, the Grassroots Champion Award from the American Hospital Association (AHA) and the 2013 Outstanding Business Leader award from the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce. Corvino also serves on the Boards of Health Equity, and The American Red Cross of Southwest Florida.
