It’s been a week now since you took us out, and I’m still riding the high! I just wanted to thank
you (and your wife!) for welcoming a group of scruffy war veterans into your home/boat and
showing us a fantastic time. For a poor kid growing up in the Midwest, those kind of fishing
adventures were only something I’d read about, not something I’d ever expect to be able to
take part in.

And as Freedom Waters knows, being out on the water is healing as well- Ive got some PTSD
from my tours in Iraq (along with my 12 years on the SWAT team), but nothing clears the mind
like a new adventure and the camaraderie that generally accompany it. You’re doing great
work!

I wanted to take the time to write this email and thank you and ask you to thank Mr. Jeff and
Ms. Shelly on my behalf and my family. Joaquin and Alex had such a great time and was very
nice to meet them and connect with them.
Please pass on my best wishes to them and let them know the significant impact their gesture
has had on Joaquin’s life, what a great experience.
Also, please thank our amazing volunteers… they were out of the planet, super caring, fun, and
interested in knowing us and making a true connection.
WE HAD A BLAST!

We know you have fishing charters for Veterans and Special needs. Dany, my fiance, is an
experienced fisherman that would love to donate his time to help your mission in case you
need a volunteer that understands the purpose of what you do.
If this is something you are interested in let me know and ill be happy to get him in touch with
you.

If you have any volunteer work that can be completed remotely, ill be happy to help as well.

Thank you so much for including me on today’s veteran’s cruise. It was fantastic!
Besides being able to help people with drinks, food, walking, etc, I think I had conversations with
just about every person on the boat.

I spoke with the people who were originally from two blocks away from where I was from in NY,
people who moved to Florida because they love DeSantis, people who are thinking of moving
away from Florida because of DeSantis, people who were first timers and were overcome with
emotion about how well they were treated as veterans, etc, etc.

It was a wonderful cruise. Our guests were happy coming on board and much happier when they
left. I am so thankful to have been a part of it.

quite a bit of sailing terminology and techniques. Please sign me up again for next week, the 26th.
