Boat Owners and Community Partners – Who’s Who Within FWF… – July 6th, 2018
It’s time to highlight a few of the Who’s Who of Freedom Waters Foundation. Boat owners, community partners, volunteers, staff and donors are who make this organization feel like a successful, loving family.
Pure Florida’s Double Sunshine (Naples) and the Edison Explorer (Ft. Myers), the Naples Princess (Naples), Eco Venture Florida (Sanibel), Lady Jane (Marco Island), Mariner III (Palm Beach), Jupiter Ponte Taxi (Jupiter), Shaded Lady (Port of the Islands) are just a few of the incredible boats that on a regular basis donate the use of their vessels and their crew time to share their love and enjoyment of being out on the water.
Some of our participants come to us via word of mouth but most are referred by our numerous community partners: children’s hospitals, Vet Centers, social service agencies and more.
With just two full-time and three part-time employees and a few contractors, FWF provided over 3000 on the water experiences last year, for individuals with special needs/life-threatening illnesses, at-risk youth and veterans, offering them a unique opportunity.
FWF volunteers, from boat owners and captains to data entry office help and hosts out on the water, make a difference in the lives of everyone onboard the vessel. Many of our veteran participants have become volunteers in all aspects of our programming as well.
It is with the help of the donors who continuously support FWF’s programs, whether with direct financial support or in-kind donation or surprising us with a fundraiser that they are hosting that is having Freedom Waters Foundation as its beneficiary, that keeps the smiles and memories growing.
Freedom Waters Foundation is a wonderful family made up of all the individuals that care, share and embrace one another with loving kindness. Magic happens on and off the water because of all of you!
Thank you. I wish you constant LOVE!
