Florida does not have a “boating license” requirement. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has terrific information about boating safety. And while boat insurance typically covers boat passengers, we strongly encourage you to contact your insurance agent before you decide to volunteer your vessel for use in Freedom Waters Foundation programs.
