We are pleased to share exciting news about the future of Freedom Waters Foundation. The Board of Directors has appointed Nukhet Hendricks as our new President & Chief Executive Officer.

Nukhet is a seasoned nonprofit executive with extensive experience in strategic leadership, operational oversight, and mission‑driven growth. She brings a strong track record of strengthening organizational infrastructure, cultivating philanthropic partnerships, and leading with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

With a Master of Science in Public and Human Service Administration, Nukhet has guided nonprofit organizations with a steadfast commitment to fiscal stewardship, board engagement, and meaningful community impact. She is widely recognized as a leader who brings strategic insight while staying deeply grounded in mission and values.

As we enter our 21st year of service, Freedom Waters Foundation continues to grow its reach across South Florida. Under Nukhet’s leadership, we look forward to expanding our therapeutic boating programs, deepening community partnerships, and enhancing the joy, connection, and healing we bring to thousands of individuals each year.
